About Me

I'm Stan, a Senior Offensive Security Consultant based in the Netherlands, sometimes known as Wobbat. I focus on software security across a wide range of platforms and systems. I'm also neurodivergent, which influences how I think, learn, and approach problems.

In my free time, I enjoy photography (some of my favorite shots are on my photography site), working on side projects, reading, gaming, and unwinding with a good show or film.

What I do

I work in application security: reviewing code, testing software, and helping clients improve their security posture across web, mobile, desktop, and everything in between. That often means diving into new techniques, untangling complex systems, and answering practical security questions that don't always come with clear answers.

What keeps it interesting is how fast everything moves. Whether it's figuring out where AI fits in or keeping up with the new new new JavaScript framework, there's always something new to learn. The multidisciplinary nature of the work means thinking across domains, stacks, and threat models. I find this very rewarding!

I sometimes build internal tools, give the occasional talk or workshop, and post here when something feels worth sharing.

Current focus

Right now, I'm leading the expansion into hardware, embedded, and low-level security at the company I work for. That includes firmware analysis and building in-house expertise around systems that usually fall outside typical appsec work.
