every blog needs one

I have a lot of half-finished thoughts.

Some are about security, programming, systems, books, or whatever thing I am currently trying to understand. A lot are about life. Sometimes existential. Often existential.

I am pretty sure writing helps with that, since it forces me to think things through. As someone with ADHD, I am not always the biggest fan of thinking things through. As someone who also has autism, I am the biggest fan of thinking things through.

It is complicated.

Anyway, writing. I never do it.

In my head a thought feels finished. Then I try to write it down and it turns out I had not really figured it out in the slightest. Trying to get better at that is probably the main reason for this blog.

The other reason is AI.

I use AI a lot. At work, where I am involved in how we apply it to offensive security, and outside of work, where I use it for side projects, design ideas, code, and plenty of other things. This site also came together mostly by describing what I wanted and iterating on it. That is immensely cool and still blows my mind.

It also makes me want to be a bit more deliberate about what I do not hand over. I do not want this blog to become a place where I outsource having an opinion. I am fine using tools. I like tools. But the thinking has to stay mine.

So that is the plan. Write things down, find out how little I had actually figured out, repeat. I think.
